Double-plus whenever I try to move/copy one of the folders the infamous, purely evil error code -8060 pops up. A new window opens (telling you to select the folder or file that has the correct alias). 6. The same as with Windows. Unexpected Error Code 50 Mac and the files remain in Trash.

I can move files to trash but I cannot empty the Trash.
Just an unblinking gray -box after the colon... Command-option-drag Something's missing from my calculations here... I use Snowleopard. Hopefully that will work.

- The file was deleted from the drive, which I assume (after lots of reading) is why this alias file will not delete.

And, as noted before, I'm sure I've deleted plenty of files from thumbdrives over the years, and this is the first and only time it's ever NOT let me empty the The time now is 05:23 PM. Then I was like "oh maybe because I have too many folders in one place it's slowing up", so I made a new folder, and put "untitled folders" 1-49 in there.
Title: The title for your comment. Mac Make Alias Error I create a new folder for each time I do this, right? The same thing for a symbolic link, which is just a different kind of alias.

When you move anything to the trash from a thumb or external drive, empty the trash whilst still connected otherwise it stays on the drive.
