Someone may answer the question while I'm trying to type it in. when I went to the website and followed the directions to get the latest version, I can not find that download. Note: There may be shared files called Common.xcu under paths, such as the following: C:\[somepath]\OpenOffice.org
The new files work normally. The symptoms were isolated (corrupted Common.xcu file), but the cause was not determined in 23220. This happened after I deleted /home/user/.openoffice and then "emerge openoffice-bin". https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=31080 I seem to recall that I had to run the installer as root and it worked fine.
